Thank you club members for nominating me as your September 2017 Club Member of the Month.  It is an honor and privilege to be currently serving as your Director of Communications for the past 12 months.  I have enjoyed getting to know our members, hearing the stories behind their passion for and selection of such an American icon - the Corvette, and engaging in our clubs events and activities.  The 2015 Z06 I currently drive is my first Corvette.  My father having been a 30+ year veteran of General Motors, I am deeply rooted in their products.  I have always driven GM cars and trucks, but had never had a sports car or convertible of which I was adamant about having at some point in my life time.  It wasn't until the C7 concept drawings hit the web, followed by the Houston Auto Show exhibit in 2014 that I just had to have one for myself.  So I set out on a journey to save my "fun money" followed by a lengthy online search throughout the U.S. to find the right one.  I have had the car now for almost two years and have enjoyed every minute and mile of it.  The plus is that I am able to enjoy it with some really great friends here at the club, and share it with the community through our charitable events.  I look forward to many more years of enjoyment with both this car and the Corvette Owners Club of Houston.  Please come introduce yourself the next time you see me, and let's swap stories about these wonderful cars and our experience.
