1960 Steven Gee and Loretta Dong
I bought my 1960 Corvette in 1976 with hard/soft tops for $2,350. I was 27 at the time, married and starting a family. I drove it for a year or so and, then, decided that the bright Mustang yellow/orange paint wasn't for me. I stripped it down, had some glass work done and disassembled it. That's how it sat until 2019. I had just retired in 2017 at 68 years old, and finishing the Corvette was on my bucket list. I realized at my age that I needed some improvements/modern conveniences like a late model engine, automatic transmission, power brakes, power steering and air conditioning. As such, I had my old car rebuilt as a modified or restomod. I wanted the body and interior to be or look original, and I think my wish was achieved. I grew up with, and will always appreciate and love the old 50s, 60s and 70s performance cars.
