2011 John McCarthy
This is a very special 2011 C6 Z06 Carbon Edition. The Carbon Edition was produced only in 2011 and in very limited quantities (252 total, with 85 being Inferno Orange). Of the 85 Inferno Orange versions, only 12 were configured from the export market. Mine is one of those 12. And it has only 2,190 miles on the clock. I purchased the car from its original owner in Canada a few years ago. I have maintained full originality, with the original tires and all factory literature (window sticker, build sheet, service documents, etc). This is a true time capsule and I plan to keep it that way. I have put about 100 miles on it since purchasing the vehicle.
The Carbon Edition was basically a ZR1, but with a naturally aspirated 7.0 liter engine (427 cubic inches) with more lightweight carbon fiber and a Carbon Edition only carbon fiber hood. The 7.0-liter LS7 V8 features a dry-sump lubrication system and was factory rated at 505 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. It weighs only 3,133 lbs, yet has all the creature comforts we have come to expect in our cars.

At the time of publication, the plan was to build 500 units, but ultimately only 252 were produced.
This is only of the last “analog” track cars with a lightweight body, manual transmission, and naturally aspirated engine that is tremendously fun to drive.
